The Forsaken One

Canadian social justice advocate Meyer Brownstone took hundreds of photographs during his visits to the Salvadoran refugee camps in Honduras during the civil war in El Salvador in the 1980s. Little did he know in 2011 that a survivor of those camps lived and worked doors from his home in downtown Toronto. "The Forsaken One" chronicles one of their first meetings when they revisited Brownstone's photographs and shared stories about life in those refugee camps.
