On the Road to Virtue

On The Road to Virtue documents the relationship between Canadian social justice activist, Meyer Brownstone, and the Salvadoran citizens living in refugee camps in Honduras during the civil war in El Salvador in the 1980s. Brownstone's many archival images and sound recordings provide the starting point for his recollection of trips to the refugee camps. The resilience of the Salvadorans living with military oppression and violence as well as their communal way of life left a deep and lasting impression on Brownstone.
